Vendor Selection & Management

Vendor Management services includes the selection and management of qualified vendors. When selecting the vendor, the evaluation is based on the bidders’ ability to perform the work in accordance with industry standards and responsiveness to the technical requirements or RFP. 

Once the project is under way the vendor is monitored for compliance with project plans and technical accuracy.  EID can assist or direct periodic technical reviews and interchanges held with the vendor.

Components should be integrated and tested to determine whether the product meets predetermined functionality, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements. Once the product is fully integrated, system testing is conducted to validate that the product will operate in its intended environment, satisfies all user requirements, and is supported with complete and accurate operating documentation.

      These activities typically include:

  • Installation Plan

  • Rollout Plan

  • Acceptance Test Plan

  • Operating Documentation

  • Users & Developer's Reference Manual

  • Training Plan

  • Integration Test Plan

  • System Test Plan

  • Project Plan

  • Quality Assurance Plan

The vendor's performance is evaluated on a periodic basis and reviewed with the client.  The end result is that our clients can rest assured the vendors are delivering technically correct systems in accordance with project plans.
