Process Analysis

Once the organization has graphical representation of workflow activities, the documented processes are reviewed and analyzed. During this phase EID evaluates where technological as well as and non-technology based changes and solutions can be implemented.

The graphical representations become the keystone for any software development, as well as a valuable management tool for change management.  Recommendations can be made from this point, based on the information gathered during the baselining phase and subsequent meetings/discussions with management and end-users.

These graphical representations are more sophisticated than ordinary flowcharts.  They provide a 3-D perspective of the client's operating environment.  This permits exhaustive analysis of not only how work is managed, but how each department or section relates to the other.

While this analysis is occurring, EID continues to work with the client to develop proposed process charts to document how the operation/business would function after the changes are implemented.

It is very common for the analysis portion of the project to result in the identification of duplicate processes, processes no longer required by the organization, and recommendations from users on easier and more effective means to complete specific work functions.

The resultant schematics are used as the basis for identifying the requirements for any new software solution or modification to existing software.
